Bret Baier currently serves as FOX News Channel’s (FNC) chief political anchor and anchor and executive editor of Special Report with Bret Baier (weeknights 6-7PM/ET), the top-rated cable news program in its timeslot and consistently one of the top four shows in cable news. Currently based in Washington, DC, he joined FOX in 1998 as the Atlanta bureau’s first reporter. Baier has anchored more than 35 one-hour long specials on FNC, reported from Iraq 12 times and Afghanistan 13 times, and traveled the world reporting from or visiting 74 countries. Special Report with Bret Baier was recently acknowledged by TIME Magazine’s Joe Klein as the only "straight newscast" in cable news at 6PM/ET and the show is beating network evening newscasts in several major cities. Bret is the author of four New York Times best sellers and hosts a podcast named one of the top political podcasts in the country. He currently lives in Washington, DC with his wife and their two sons.
